Welcome to Deryn Hardie Boys Photography and Painting

In both photography and painting I express my passion for the natural world around me. My eye focuses on patterns, textures and colours, inspired from earlier life experiences as a weaver, forest guide, and traveller to exotic eastern shores. In my photographs I enjoy presenting a visual puzzle - an image which is both beautiful and perplexing, and challenges the viewer to look again. My landscape paintings are colourful and expressionistic, reflecting my love of Aotearoa/New Zealand.
